We saw Ups and downs, some of us also lost our beloved friends, relatives or family members in this year. This also a time to analyze what all things we achieved and plan for future never to repeat the mistake which led to bitter moments that spoiled our mood.

For me 2009 is one of the memorable year that added a mile stone in my life and the year which led me to my current company (common Floor) where I got an opportunity to work in a team which helped me to learn new things, gave feedback where I improved and where I need improvement. Direct exposure to AC makes people inactive at their workplace

Take care that you are not in the direct line of the air-conditioner. Doctors say you may get spondilitis, neck pain or joint pain. If you have them already, exposure to AC can aggravate pain. Bone and joint pains worsen when exposed to air-conditioning. The entire muscular system is affected due to long hours of exposure, aggravating the existing problem.

Most common is spondylitis when air from an AC directly hits the neck.Due to direct exposure to AC, there is increase in number of patients with back pain and neck pain. People also become inactive at the workplace.Neck and shoulder muscles release trigger points causing pain in neck and shoulder regions. Due to wrong sitting posture and long hours of exposure to AC, spondylitis-like symptoms could arise.

However, maintaining low AC temperature and avoiding direct contact with the air can be a solution.Respiratory diseases like H1N1 flu spread faster as the infectious virus circulates within the closed space. So doctors recommends to people travelling to use non-AC coaches and to work in a ventilated space. In air-conditioned rooms, due to lack of fresh air, people feel unwell. A better option is going for hybrid building with integrated system of AC and natural cooling strategy. This will also reduce energy consumption.

Virender Sehwag’s unbeaten 284 helped India post 443 for one

Mumbai: Virender Sehwag’s unbeaten 284 (239b, 40×4, 7×6) helped India post 443 for one in 79 overs on the second day of the final Test against Sri Lanka at the Brabourne Stadium on Thursday (Dec 03,2009). Sehwag figured in a 221-run opening partnership with M. Vijay, who scored 87 Rahul Dravid (62 batting) and the pair added 222 runs in 39.5 overs for the second wicket before stumps. (121b, 10×4, 1×6) before being trapped in front by slow left-armer Rangana Herath. After Vijay’s dismissal, Sehwag was joined by

This was India’s highest single-day score in Tests. Sehwag is now 16 runs short of becoming the first cricketer to score three triple centuries in Tests. Australia’s Don Bradman and West Indies’ Brian Lara have also two scores in excess of 300 each.

Sehwag reached his 100 from 101 balls with a swept boundary off Muttiah Muralitharan. His double hundred, scored off 168 balls, was the second-fastest double century in Test cricket, behind Nathan Astle’s 153-ball effort against England in 2001-02.Sehwag now has six scores above 200, an Indian record.

Mathews, whose 99 was one of the highlights of the Sri Lankan innings, conceded he had not seen anything like this before. “It never happened to Murali before. We all know he’s Sehwag. On his day he can do what he did to us today. He bats that way. The bowlers have to be careful with line and length, a little error would be dangerous,” Mathews said.

“Murali is a big challenge to face. If you have to play against a spinner like him, you have to attack him. Otherwise he will come and dominate you. So instead of allowing him to dominate, I dominated right from the first ball and pushed him into the back foot,” Sehwag said of the off-spinner.

Meanwhile, his opening partner Murali Vijay rued missing a century. “I was very positive and was hitting the ball today. But that was a poor dismissal and maybe I would not make the mistake in my next match,” said the youngster.
