Sri Krishna Mandir

The puna prathista Ashtabandha Bramakalashotsava of Sri Krishna Mandir, Hosdurg Kanhangad, Kasaragod District of Kerala State will be heldfrom April 19, 2011 to April 24 (Malayalam month Medam 5, 1186 to Medam 10, 1186). The Hosahithlu Hegde Samaja On 19th May, 1977 formed “Sri Krishna Bhajana Mandir”. Within 12years, the shrine’s power increased and in 1989 it was transformed into “Santhaana Venugopala Kshethram” with idol Prathistha.

The punaprathista and Ashtabandha Brahma Kalasabhisheka will be held from April 19, 2011 as a part of renovating the temple and Bimbha puna prathista will be held on April 24, 2011 at 12-04 PM.

Sri Krishna Temple, Hosdurg-Kanhangad has become a landmark as the temple is located in the heart of Hosdurg town. Today the town is also known for Sri Krishna Temple.

How to Reach:

By Rail: Kanhangad railway station is nearest railway station. From Kanhangad Railway station you can get an auto to Sri Krishna Mandir Road at a minimum fare.

By road: Kasaragod-Kanhangad, Kannur-Kanhangad, Nileshwar-Kanhangad etc are some of bus services that enables you to reach easily to Kanhangad town. You can get down near Kanhangad Head post office or TB Junction from where the temple is walkable distance.

By Air: Mangalore airport is nearest airport from there you can either get bus service, rail service or taxi to Kanhangad.

Kanhangad is a town and municipality that can be reached easily from any part of state, India or abroad. Kanhangad has good connectivity with Kanhangad Railway Station, Mangalore Airport  and well connected via road with KSRTC & Private bus services.
